OUR MISSION

Riverton Middle School’s mission is to provide a quality education through shared responsibility in a safe supportive environment for all students to meet the challenges of a global society.

We are “Committed to Excellence”, and we work hard to make the site a primary source for timely information for all users, and a main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

This notification, as required by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Section 855-450.h, is to advise you that there will be Asbestos Abatement at our facility commencing on September 23, 2014 through approximately September 26, 2014.

The location of the project is in one of the Riverton Middle School girls bathrooms.  We will be removing floor tile after school hours.  The tile will be professionally removed by a certified asbestos abatement company.  We are taking every precaution to ensure that there is no danger to the students due to the removal of the floor tile.

Only authorized abatement personnel will be allowed in the area.  Abatement signs will be posted and all unauthorized personnel shall adhere to these postings.

Your cooperation regarding this project is appreciated.
